Let’s Get This started

This is not about me. This is not about you. This is about us.
If you had quick look at my About Me section – you’ll see that my quest (well I am not a knight but can still have one) is seeking for making things happier and better. Therefore, I need to deep dive into what is the very essence of who we are as humans, and our behaviours.
But let’s pause here for a minute and look at the definition of those 2 traits here :
  • Happy – Have you ever wondered what the definition of Happiness is ? If you look at its definition it says : “feeling or showing pleasure or contentment”. Pleasure or Contentment – Nice. Now we automatically understand that what will bring us pleasure or contentment is not something that we natively share. I can show pleasure and contentment seeing a nice, tidy and clean house (who said I have an OCD ?) OR I can show pleasure and contentment eating a chocolate ice cream (for me both work). Instantly here we understand that “feeling or showing pleasure or contentment” is something that is very dependent on who we are. Hence no common definition of happiness.
  • Better – “more desirable, satisfactory, or effective”. There you go again! What makes things “more desirable, satisfactory, or effective” for me, may not for my neighbour, colleague or friend.
So how can we seek at making things happier and better if we know, straight from the beginning, that this is so intangible and dependant on who is at stake?
Well… I am not trying to make me happier and better. I am not trying to make you happier and better. I am trying to make things happier and better. And when I say things – this means all the little happenings between you and me, between us that, with a little bit more knowledge about us as human beings and our behaviours, can be made happier and better.
This is not about me. This is not about you. This is about us.
Let’s start this journey together.
Looking forward to share more with you and to hear from you.
